Iron chelated with EDDHA is a water soluble, dark red microgranular form of iron EDDHA to be used for the correction of iron deficiency in crops by means of soil application.

Causes of Iron Deficiency:
✔ High soil pH (alkaline soil, pH above 7.0) – Iron becomes unavailable for plant absorption.
✔ Poorly drained or compacted soil – Reduces root ability to take up nutrients.
✔ Excessive phosphorus in soil – Can block iron absorption.
✔ Low organic matter – Iron availability is reduced in sandy or depleted soils.

Iron deficiency in soil, in extreme cases, may lead to complete crop failure. RXSOL Fe-EDDHA 6% is a chelated micronutrient suitable for correcting iron dearth in high pH calcareous soils. The deficiency is usually recognized by chlorotic, or yellowed, intervein areas in new leaves and is typically found among sensitive crops grown in soils that primarily have calcium carbonate (CaCO3) in abundance.
Symptoms of Iron Deficiency:
Yellowing of young leaves while veins remain green (interveinal chlorosis).
Slow or stunted growth in affected plants.
In severe cases, leaves may turn completely yellow or even white, leading to leaf drop.
Sprinkle some dry chelated iron for plants on the soil and irrigate, or dissolve in water and apply the chelated liquid iron around the base of the plants. Iron chelates can also be applied in the holes surrounding the drip line of the affected plants.
How to Fix Iron Deficiency:
Lower Soil pH – Add sulfur, peat moss, or ammonium sulfate to make iron more available.
Use Iron Supplements – Apply iron chelates (EDDHA, DTPA) or foliar iron sprays for quick results.
Improve Drainage & Aeration – Loosen compacted soil and avoid overwatering.
Add Organic Matter – Compost or manure can enhance iron availability.
