Iodine Value: 130 - 140.
APPLICATION::
Fuel Additives: As a source of fatty acids for fuel additives.
Alkyd Resins: As a component in the production of alkyd resins.
Dimer Acids: As a precursor for dimer acids.
Surfactants: Used in the production of surfactants.
Cleaners: Used in the production of liquid cleaners.
Oilfield Chemicals: As a component in oilfield chemicals.
Lubricant Esters: Used in the production of lubricant esters.
Other Chemical Derivatives: As a raw material for a variety of chemical derivatives.
Rubber and Tire Processing Aids: Used in rubber and tire processing.
PVC Stabilizers: Used in the production of PVC stabilizers.
CAUSES::
Skin and Eye Irritation: TOFA can cause skin and eye irritation.
Allergic Reactions: May cause allergic skin reactions.
Inhalation: May cause allergy or asthma symptoms or breathing difficulties if inhaled.
Ingestion: Ingestion is likely to be harmful or have adverse effects.
Fire Hazard: Irritating vapors and toxic gases, such as carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, may be formed when involved in fire.
Environmental Hazards: While TOFA is readily biodegradable and has low bioaccumulation potential, it may be dangerous if it enters water intakes.
PRECAUTION::
Gloves: Wear chemical-resistant gloves to protect hands and skin.
Eye Protection: Always wear eye protection, such as chemical goggles, to prevent eye irritation.
Clothing: Wear long-sleeved clothing and an apron to minimize skin exposure.
Footwear: Wear sturdy footwear.
Avoid breathing dust/fumes/mist/vapors: Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
Use a vapor respirator: If exposure to the substance is apparent (e.g., generation of high concentrations of mist or vapor, inadequate ventilation, development of respiratory tract irritation), and engineering controls are not feasible, use a vapor respirator.
Store in a dry, well-ventilated area.
Keep container closed.
Keep away from heat, sparks, and flames.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke: where chemicals are handled, processed, or stored.
Wash hands and skin: thoroughly after contact.
If the product gets into your eyes, rinse eyes thoroughly: for at least 15 minutes with tap water and seek medical attention.
Contain spills immediately: to prevent environmental contamination.
Wear appropriate PPE: when handling spills.
Absorb spilled material: with an appropriate absorbent material.
Dispose of contaminated materials: according to local regulations.
